For those who like to take to the water but may not have a large vehicle to carry a regular kayak or canoe, the Sea Eagle SE-330 perfectly fits the bill.

When deflated, the kayak folds down to fit into a bag about 4 feet long, 2 feet wide and about six inches thick. That includes the oars, seats, and foot pump. The bag fully loaded weighs in at 38.5 pounds.

When inflated, this two-person kayak is no pool toy. It features all of the features you would want in a rigid body kayak. It will hold 500 pounds, has two plastic skegs on the bottom to offer stability and better tracking, has gear storage both fore and aft, spray skirts, three inflation chambers, carry handles, a drain valve, and an I-beam floor. Its durable material is even strong enough to take the claws of your favorite water-loving canine.

Most notable in our testing was how stable the kayak stayed in the water. The 11 ft. 2 inch boat road low in the water with a single full-sized adult.  The seven and half foot long paddles cut through the water propelling and steering the craft with ease. Two-part one-way air valves make inflating and deflating the kayak a breeze.

Set up and take down took about 15 minutes apiece, and once deflated the kayak easily packed into the trunk of a mid-sized sedan for easy transport. Because of it’s small packed size, storage is easy taking minimal room.

The Sea Eagle SE-330 typically retails for $299, but is on sale right now at Sportsman’s Warehouse for only $199.
