The Sportsman’s News crew is headed to the coast of Louisiana to do some sport fishing, wildlife viewing, and take a look at the area after the recovery efforts from the BP Oil disaster. Watch for upcoming updates on what we find there.

Many of the major gun manufacturers showcased their new firearms at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas last month.  The Sportsman’s News staff had the opportunity to see most of them “Up Close and Personal” and you can see a glimps of some of the new stuff in our March issue.  From handguns, to rifles, to tons of new and improved shotguns, make sure you stop by your local Sportsman’s Warehouse and pick up your March copy of the Sportsman’s News and stop in at the gun counter while you are there to see for yourself!

You only get issued one set of ears in life, so it is important to protect them whenever you are shooting.

As a firearms instructor, I am amazed whenever I see parents at the local range who think just because they are shooting a .22 LR they, and their kids whose spiral ganglion cells are still developing, don’t need hearing protection.
