Glen Bradley climbed out of the Suburban and drew down on the big boar crossing the logging road.   The first shot connected and the big bear headed for thick cover.  Our guide closed the distance to where the bear went into the cover in seconds and found him climbing a big pine in hopes of escaping.  Glen made one final shot and the seven-foot bear fell thirty feet out of the tree to end a great hunt.  Glen was the lucky winner of the 2009 “Great Hunt Giveaway from Sportsman’s Warehouse and Sportsman’s News Magazine.

Itcha Mountain Outfitters in Central British Columbia has been one of our Platinum Approved Outfitters for seven years now and we have personally visited them on four different occasions.  Their spot and stalk black bear hunting adventure is one of the very best that we have ever experienced and during our last trip, seven hunters harvested seven bears with all but one exceeding the seven foot mark.   What a huge success on trophy class black bears and we captured all of it on film for our SNTV 2010 DVD series.   Stewart and Sabrina (owners of Itcha Mountain Outfitters) have decided to host this exact hunt again in 2012.   We have once again booked the best time of the year during the rut to do this hunt and we will be filming the whole adventure for another episode of SNTV.   The contest started in the fall of 2011 and will end March 31st of this year.  We will draw one lucky winner on April 3rd, 2012.   If you haven’t taken the time to enter, but would like your shot at a trophy black bear, please log onto www.sportsmansnews.com and register.    The hunt will take place during the end of May and early June 2012.   Publisher Mike Deming will be in camp and is looking forward to sharing this great experience with one lucky winner.  You can’t win if you don’t enter.
