Artisan pizza is all of the rage across America today. These high quality Napolitano style pizzas blend hand tossed dough’s with high quality toppings into a work of art that appeals to the eye as well as the taste buds. These wood fired pizza ovens produce an even heat on the cooking surface as well as convection heat in the cooking chamber.

Now Camp Chef offers the ability to make your own artisan pizza in your own backyard or miles from home with the Camp Chef Italia Artisan Pizza Oven.

Whereas the oven in your favorite artisan pizza shop uses a large, wood fired brick oven that weighs hundreds of pounds and costs tens of thousands of dollars to build and operate, the Italia weighs only 26 pounds, is portable and easily sits on top of your three burner Camp Chef stove. The Italia allows you to easily make your own pizzas from scratch, pick up a premade pizza from the local take and bake pizza shop or even cook a thawed out frozen pizza easily, wherever you may decide you want to cook it.

For you tailgaters, the Italia lets you bring your favorite pizza to your favorite sporting event. Toss up some wings, add a cold beer and you will earn the title of ‘King of the Tailgate Party’. At camp, the Italia offers the kids their favorite meal, without the fuss of trying to get a pizza delivered hours from civilization.

DSCN0242I love my products to be versatile and offer the ability to do more than a single thing. It means I have to transport less gear when I travel. The Camp Chef Italia Pizza Oven is useful for a lot more than just pizza. Cookies, biscuits and cinnamon rolls can all be cooked in the Italia, with a little adjustment of the temperature, meaning less gear to haul.

The Italia is perfect for one of my favorite meal combos. I like to cook my pizza and then turn off the burners to let the stove cool down while I eat it. Then once the pizza is done, I toss on the cookies and let the cooling oven make perfect chewy chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

The Italia is very easy to use. Just set it on top of your Camp Chef stove and get it up to temperature. It takes just 15 minutes to get the baking chamber up to 500 degrees. The Italia has a built in thermometer, but an infrared thermometer lets you check the temperature on the baking stone itself. Once the stone temperature and the chamber temperature have equalized, insert your pizza and in about 8-minutes, you will have a perfect crust and melty goodness that everyone is going to love.

There is no disputing that artisan pizza is the king of crusts and the Italia Pizza Oven from Camp Chef lets you make your own perfectly cooked pizza anytime and any place with a minimum of fuss. Check it out at your local Sportsman’s Warehouse store and add one to your outdoor kitchen. You and your guests will be glad you did.
