No matter what we do anymore it seems that we have a bunch of stuff to take with us. How many times have you left camp in the middle of the night to get a head start on other hunters and hike miles into what you thought was the back country? You are sitting in the perfect spot and waiting for legal shooting light to come. You are sure that this is your lucky morning when the silence is broken by a distant ATV. The noise grows louder and louder and you see animals start moving into the opposite direction of the noise. What could have been a great morning is now a bad memory.

Having a hand held GMRS style radio when you head to the field is a common practice for many people these days. We personally use them frequently during the big game hunts when the state law allows. They are great items to have if you change your meeting location or in the event that you get an animal down and need to get help headed your direction.
