The Jack Daniels distillery was there before the county went dry, which is why it's so ironic. Moonshining has been going on all over the South since pioneer times, right through Prohibition, and even today I would guess. One of my cousins was a moonshiner in Barren County, KY back in the '50s and '60s and did regular runs to several towns delivering his goods. Never got caught as far as I know.

I was only making a joke, I do see where they have a show on tv called I think moonshiners. or something like that. it could be interesting.

I recal how weird it was driving through the Dallas area once, learning what dry counties were. I recall a Daquiri drive thru and the company I was in town doing some training with actually had Beer vending machines throughout the corporate office. After 4pm you were allowed to have two. Crazy.

Agreed. I think the whole 12/21 thing is the same kind of nonsense we've seen in many previous "doomsday" predictions, but it is fun to talk about anyway.
