My latest pistol puchase was a S&W .357 686 4" stainless with the Performance center trigger job. I was really torn between getting this or the 1911 I have always wanted. But sunce I have been stalked twice by Mt. Lions and been accosted by a black bear while bow hunting I went with the .357 wheel gun. I will eventually have the cash to get the 1911. But I do have to say the 686 is an awesome pistol…!!! Still drooling for my stainless 1911 though…!!!

We agree. We will be running our Nikon Youth Photo Contest again later this year.

This looks like great way to get more folks on your web page & increase interest in the shooting sports. I think it would be great if you could come up with a way to get more kids involved.  They are the future & as a Hunter Educaiton Instructor I'm always looking for stuff that will get more kids involved. Something to think about. Dutchjohnv

I think I might of gotten a case of that while I was in Brazil a couple years back… wouldn't want that again!  I'll be sure to stay out of your way RB!

Sounds like RickyBobby used to play some classic Red Box Dungeons and Dragons back in the day.  Wink

You're probably thinking of Riboflavin.

Maleficium is a dark magic that is probably going to put me over the top in these giveaways.  If you think Professor Snape, you won't be far off.

Too hot for me.  I'm cooking over at our church tonight, too – not gonna be fun working over that grill.

That's quite a sight to wake up to every day, Ken.  Here's a picture I took from my driveway.

Oh man – that would scare the literal willies out of me.    Surprised  Did it do any damage to your place?

No.  It missed us. I was doing a lot of voo doo on that one.   We've never had an actual "hit".  A few close calls though.

Usually they happen at night so you can't really see them.  I like it better in the day when you know where they are at.  We do get some hellacious storms here though with big hail and high wind.  I've got some pictures I'll post sometime.

That's Pikes Peak in the background.

Are the trees turning already?  And is that snow on Pike Peak?  I hope it snows in Colorado like there is no tomorrow this year and pushes those big deer you guy hide down my way in Nov.Laugh

The photo is from my archives – last fall I think.  The peak is still bare and the trees stilll green right now. In the 15 years I've lived here I cannot remember when we were still having high '80s on the last day of August.  I'm hoping we have some good cold weather by November; otherwise the elk will stay up high where it's even harder to go get them!
